Grandma Briggs' Donuts

4 egg yolks
2 tbsp. shortening
1 cup sugar
7/8 cup milk (1 cup less 2 tbsp.)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 and 3/4 cups flower
1 and 1/2 tsp salt
3 and 1/2 tsp baking power
1 and 3/4 tsp nutmeg
3/4 tsp cinnamon

Combine, roll out, cut and deep fry.
