Batter:
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1 egg
2/3 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 and 1/2 cup cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp sal
Put 4 tbsp melted butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar and arrange pineapple on bottom on dish. Add batter and sprinkle 2 tablespoons of flour on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.

Grandma Briggs' Donuts
4 egg yolks
2 tbsp. shortening
1 cup sugar
7/8 cup milk (1 cup less 2 tbsp.)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 and 3/4 cups flower
1 and 1/2 tsp salt
3 and 1/2 tsp baking power
1 and 3/4 tsp nutmeg
3/4 tsp cinnamon
Combine, roll out, cut and deep fry.

Grandma Briggs' Shoo Fly Pie
1. Make pie shells and set aside, frozen pie shells can be used too.
2. Mix Molasses Crumbs.
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup oleo
Mix together and crumb like pic crumbs. Set aside.
3. Make Molasses mixture.
3/4 cup cold water
3/4 cup molasses
1/2 tsp baking soda
4. Put molasses mixture into unbaked pie crust. Add molasses crumbs onto molasses mixture. Bake at either 450 degrees for 10 min, then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 35 min.

1 lb of crab meat
4 Hard Boiled eggs
1/2 green pepper (chopped)
4 pieces of diced bread
several pieces of celery (chopped)
1/2 to 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
salt to season
Form patties, dip in egg, then bread crumbs. Deep fry.
To freeze- cook first then freeze.
White sauce:
